My Reiki journey began from a deeply personal place — a desire to support my family, particularly my daughter, who experiences anxiety. I initially trained in Reiki simply to help those closest to me, but throughout my training I discovered a genuine passion and respect for the healing process. What started as a way to care for my loved ones quickly became an important part of my life. Reiki has helped me develop a deeper understanding of wellbeing, balance, and the connection between mind, body, and energy. Today, I am proud to bring that knowledge and compassion into my work at The Wellness Guy, where I support clients on their own wellbeing journeys. I love working with both adults and young people, helping them find a sense of calm, balance, and relaxation in their busy lives. Inspired by my own experience supporting my daughter, I am also passionate about making Reiki accessible to children and hope to offer dedicated sessions for children in the future. Reiki is more than a therapy to me; it is part of my daily routine and something I am truly passionate about. My early training as a Beauty Therapist was an intensive 5 year course covering the full range of beauty treatments. I gained my NVQ Level 3 in beauty from Hitchin Beauty College in 1994. After qualifying I became Assistant Manager at Beadlow Manor Health Spa, Bedford and spent 3 years gaining invaluable experience. I then set up my business named Skin Deep covering all aspects of the Beauty business. Working for the next 10 years as a Beauty Therapist. However, my main interest had always been eyebrows and seeing how specialised brow treatments had become I decided in 2007 to train with Karen Betts on her Semi-permanent make up/microblading course. I then became an HD trainer for Karen Betts helping it grow into what it is today. As I felt the courses in the UK were not up to the standard I wanted to achieve I decided to attend specialist semi-permanent make up/microblading courses in the USA, Russia, Italy, and Poland. I am now one of the 2 principal teachers at the award winning microblading training course by Dermagraph UK, at Windsor College. As my reputation for high quality work has spread I have been fortunate to treat a number of celebrities including: Katie Price, Callum Best, and some of the members of The Boys from Blue, cast of Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Loose Women.
